I thought I would say I have recently found your podcast and I have been enjoying it however I had a problem with one episode where you went to Snopes and it said that the mother of Jesus was not a Virgin when he was born, that’s a matter of faith not something that Snopes has any clue about the facts. Also an idea a segment about how other cultures celebrate Christmas
Woah! Hold on. I think you’re talking about October’s show. Neither I (nor Snopes) were saying Mary wasn’t a virgin when she gave birth to Jesus. Just that when she got pregnant with Jesus, it wasn’t called the “Immaculate Conception.” That term refers to when Mary was convinced without Original Sin. A lot of people use “Immaculate Conception” when they really mean “Virgin Birth.”
Sorry if that was unclear.
