The muffin idea and birthday tree is SOOOO cute. In Sweden, name day are celebrated as a little birthday. Most common names have been assigned a day on the calendar based on the old catholic saints calendar. I also thought, if we had kids, that I would have celebrated “half birthdays”.
I’m almost certain that your Mom wasn’t offended about the ugly sweater–mostly because Moms love their children all the time. Late cards are nice–they extend Christmas a little more! You gave me a good idea, however. I’m gonna prepare for Christmas about a week before Thanksgiving this year. I’ll have more time to do more Christmas things. I’ve always wanted to be the first to send out cards. I have a friend who always is first–sends them out the first day of December–I’m gonna beat her one day.
