Great podcast Tim! Your segment on Bethlehem was well researched and interesting. Way to start the year.
I just posted this on iTunes thanks for all that you do.If you love Christmas and you will love the show. Go back and start from the beginning and listen to the shows they are quick funny very informative and keeps the Christmas spirit with you all year long. Congrats Tim on such an amazing show. We all know you spend hours and hours putting all this content together so thank you.
Thanks for another great podcast Tim! I knew Jesus was born in Bethlehem, but I had no idea Jess hails from there as well! 😉
The way I see it of the two options available in the poll Nat King Cole easily has the better version of O Little Town of Bethlehem, however my favorite version comes from true Christmas music royalty, Bing Crosby. I also love the Andy Williams version.
Already looking forward to the next podcast!
lol I’ve fixed the “Jess” typo. Thanks for catching that.
My wife gave me the Nat King Cole Christmas Album on vinyl this Christmas Eve. It is still in regular circulation on the turntable. I love Elvis but their can be only one King of Christmas, and it’s Nat King Cole!
What a lovely podcast!! Bringing us back to the reason for the season was touching. I was berating myself because I took my Christmas decorations down after the Feast of the Epiphany — the wise men showing up 12 days after Christ was born, because I found out the Catholic church doesn’t end the Christmas season until the week after the Epiphany. So maybe your lighted wreath was a hint that it should stay up at least 2 weeks after Christmas. I also love the “Santa is my Valentine” shirt. I gotta couple of requests that maybe others might be interested in: 1) Could you make the Santa more “old school”, you know kinda like the European guy? 2) Could you make the image smaller and place it just below our collar bone on the left side (above our hearts–romantic)? Again, a warm but lighthearted podcast. I would have commented on the last 2 podcasts, but I was kinda busy with–what was that season?? Oh yeah, Christmas!! Miss the boys.
Oh, I forgot, Elvis does a really great version of the song, but Nat King Cole sounds like he’s in Bethlehem looking around while he’s singing it.
Another great episode Tim. Thanks for the time you put into your show for us. It’s always entertaining and keeps the Christmas spirit alive all year. I look forward to you live tweeting a Christmas movie. May I suggest something on Disney + because it would be accessible to so many of your listeners and because…DISNEY! My pick would be the Muppet Christmas Carol, especially since you didn’t watch it this season.
Great podcast, Tim!! Loved the Bethlehem segment!!
For your Christmas Kissing Ball craft project, might I suggest instead of using egg whites and sugar, you substitute spray glue and glitter. 1. Not using eggs for glue, just kinda gross. 2. No sugar to attract your ant house guests. I have relatives of your ants at my house too! So I completely understand not wanting any sugar stuff exposed.
Can’t wait for February’s podcast!! Thanks for all you do!
