    The Best thing about God Jul is that it has no exact religious connotations and harkens back to Yule as you said. Thus people of all religious background wish each other a good yule meaning your days off December 24-January 6.

    Considering the great contributions of the Germans to our Christmas traditions, and just how cool the language sounds, I was certain that German would come in at number 1, but nooo! Hawaiian Tim? Really? It’s great when Bing sings it, but otherwise… Frohliche Weihnachten everyone!

    Ya know the British say Happy Christmas; I wonder if they say Merry New Year. There’s got to be an easier way to make the breakfast casserole and I’m gonna find it. Miss the boys. Another great show–except no boys.

    I have lived in New England for 35 years, and have made a snowman by rolling snowballs around the yard exactly once. “Pile up a mound of snow and shape it” has always worked better for me, too.
