Wow, congrats on SEVEN YEARS!!!!!!! Very impressive. For the last 7 years I’ve been happy for the 25th to come around every month. I would like to hear if people have traditional events or games when their families are all piled together. Our families started the day at the crack of dawn and were quizzed about finishing chores before presents (cinnamon rolls after presents). I saw a TV show where presents were handed out 1 at a time so the whole family watched and oohed and awed. That wouldn’t fly at our home. We’d race to the tree, gather presents with our name on them, find a spot and start tearing away. FYI, tearing into the present(s) is as much fun as the present. I remember one year a brother got a bike and it was next to the tree as shiny as could be. My brother tried not to show that he didn’t get to unwrap anything. Word to gift givers to kids, if it’s too big to wrap, wrap a present with either a pic of it or tell the kid where to find it.
