Tim Babb’s Bio:
To be funny, TIM BABB doesn’t need to be dirty, he finds it more fun to be nerdy. As a multiracial new father obsessed with Disneyland, Star Trek, and the internet, Tim brings his own unique perspective to the stage. Before moving to Los Angeles, Tim Babb began his career as an air personality on Mix 106.5FM in San Jose, California. Doing stand-up for so many years in the shadow of San Francisco resulted in an act that takes the edge of the big city and combines it with the geek factor of the Silicon Valley and adds the energy of a human cartoon. Tim’s not trying to change the world, he just wants to make it laugh….one audience at a time.
Tim has successfully worked with such varied acts as Christopher Titus, Sinbad, Shang, and ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic. He has impressed the judges in several comedy competitions including the 2009 San Francisco International Comedy Competition, 2008 Boston Comedy Festival, the 2007 California Comedy Festival in Los Angeles, the Rocky Mountain Laugh-Off in Salt Lake City, Las Vegas’ Laugh Across America Comedy Competition, as well as the San Jose Improv Battle of the Bay Competition.

Tim’s Credits: Air Personality on Mix 106.5FM in San Jose, opened for such acts as Sinbad, John Witherspoon, Jake Johannsen, and “Weird Al” Yankovic. Worked at the Ice House in Pasadena, San Jose Improv, Rooster T Feather’s in Sunnyvale, and clubs all over California! He is the host of the Can’t Wait For Christmas podcast, he makes the “Tim Babb’s Kingdom Comedy” series on You Tube, he was featured in the PBS documentary Crossing the Line: Multiracial Comedians, and he’s a regular contributor to the Mousetalgia Podcast and KougarMagazine.com.
Just in case you are ever in the Modesto Area, be aware that there is a Tim Babb on the Stanislaus County Most Wanted list. 🙂

I just spotted your podcast and wondered if your show incorporated interviews? I’m a partner in one of the largest, and oldest, purveyors of fruitcake in the US. Probably the world. We’ll bake and ship almost a million pounds of fruitcake this year. Founded in 1896, we’ve been in business continuously for the past 122 years, in the little Texas town of Corsicana. If you’re interested, it might be fun to talk about the history of fruitcake in general, and our history in particular.
Hi Tim,
I want to thank you for your podcast. The last two Christmas seasons have been particularly hard for me. We had to check my Mom into memory care last year and my husband’s Mom has been very ill and debilitated due to cancer from the same time. Our daughter has also realized that Mom and Dad are Santa’s helpers. So Christmas has really been changing for us and it has been very difficult for me to get into the spirit. Enter your podcast. I discovered that bingeing Christmas podcasts can help me get more into the mood. And your podcast is the best of all. You are so happy and excited that it really helps me look beyond all of the sad things that are happening and remember how much fun Christmas still is. To top that off I just listed to January 2019 and you said that Christmas shoes is banned from your house. THANK YOU! I couldn’t agree more. I was in a store one time when this started playing while I checked out and I could NOT get out of there fast enough. I almost left my purchases!
Anyway, I cannot tell you how much your show means to me at this time of year. I have recommended it to other family members and friends who are having the same trouble getting into the season.
Keep up the good work.
Molly
I think it would be really fun to do a Zoom call a next year. Thanks for all that you do.

Hey Tim – I just recently found your podcast and I’m really enjoying binge “listening” all things Christmas! I’m only up to 2018… Have you ever had a “5 Golden Things” segment on the worst Christmas songs? This morning on my walk I was listening to Christmas music on Spotify….the song “Father Christmas” by the Kinks came on…worst Christmas song every…so depressing…. Anyway – love the podcast – keep the Christmas spirit coming!
