My late Swedish husband said he remembered candles on the christmas tree in his lifetime.

CONGRATULATIONS!! That shouldn’t be in the outtakes, it should be the INTRO. Nice work, but most of us knew it all the time. Great show, again, but miss the boys. If you watch Antiques Roadshow, they seem to have several ‘ol west handmade toys–many just like the ones you described. Again, great going on being chosen as a wonderful community Christmas podcast (I got most of the words in there)

  4. Glen Warren says:

Tim, I would like to make a comment about your mashed potatoes recipe. While adding milk will loosen the potatoes, I would personally save the liquid/stock in which the potatoes are cooked instead of draining the liquid. That broth is full of the starch from the potatoes and would keep the them nice and fluffy while adding extra flavour. You could even get away with using less salt as their will be enough from the broth. And for your comment about loosening the potatoes, some people like their mashed potatoes a bit creamier, and/or less lumpy. Adding the liquid will make them looser and possibly creamier.

Congrats for the MMC award. It’s well deserved. You do a great job.
