Anther great episode Tim! I especially loved five golden things. I definitely differ with you when it comes to Wonderful Christmas Time though. It’s just plain awful. When it comes on the radio I can’t change the station fast enough. There is no amount of hate sufficient for this song.
My list of the five worst Christmas songs:
1. “Wonderful Christmas Time” – Paul McCartney (Why radio stations keep this irritation in a Christmas rotation they expect otherwise rational people to listen to is beyond me.)
2. “So This is Christmas” – John Lennon (Clearly, no Beatle should ever be allowed to come even remotely close to Christmas music. Ever.)
3. “Blue Christmas” – Elvis Presley (Not a big fan of this song to begin with, and this version makes it so much worse.)
4. “All I Want for Christmas is You” – Mariah Carey. (I used to love this song, but it’s been so overplayed I can’t listen to it anymore.)
5. “Please Come Home for Christmas” – Eagles (I love the Eagles, and I almost put Christmas Shoes here, but this song is not their best work.)
