  1. Brandon says:

Tim! How dare you make me choose between Egg Nog and Hot Chocolate?! Too difficult a choice.

  2. Everett says:

Loving this podcast, I have a long and complicated history with Christmas which I will share with you via email when I have the time, but to be brief. I really appreciate this podcast a lot. I think it’s great. Keep up the good work. Go Cocoa!

  3. Kelley says:

Those flowers! I’m a horrible gardener, but I’m gonna try to plant some of those lovely red and white striped flowers (I can’t remember the name, but I’ll go back and listen to the podcast.)

  4. Marcia Poppins says:

What? No children commenting? They may have had tips for how they would help clean up. Maybe by letting their grandmother take them to her house? You have a lovely wife that definitely knows you very well. Your Mother sounds so nice, but I happen to know why people like to clean silver–instant gratification! They see immediately what a nice job they did. Cleaning the refrigerator, etc.–not so much. Maybe the oven cleaning tip was for the burners on top–they tend to smoke or have a funny smell if they aren’t cleaned out. It might have been mentioned before, but there is a Christmas cactus (originally from Brazil). It’s a cactus but it blooms during the winter. Oh good grief, Hot Cocoa is so versatile and eggnog (gag me). Another great show–miss the boys.

  5. Rich says:

Hot Cocoa! Hot Cocoa! Hot Cocoa!

  6. Glen Warren says:

    Tim,
Thank you for using my suggestions. It was a nice surprise hearing about the plants. My vote is for hot cocoa. Eggs shouldn’t be something you drink in any incarnation. Even though I think today’s eggnog doesn’t even have anything resembling an egg in it. Keep up the great work.

  7. Miles Vinson says:

“Nobody wants ebola for Christmas”! LOL While I’m certain that statement is true, in light of the reference to cleaning surfaces especially where raw meats had been, I think you may have meant to say “Nobody wants ‘ECOLI’ for Christmas”. Even so I still loved the podcast and I look forward to listening every month.

PS – I once again have been finding egg nogg intermittently in the same Walmart as I did last year when I let you know. Also want to let you know that the local downtown area here has been leaving the Christmas lights up and turned on, on the trees and bushes in the downtown district near the gazebo. They did last year and so far this year. They did take the ones off of the town Christmas tree though.

  8. Elmer says:

My family’s love for eggnog is almost illegal. Every year I start looking for some noggy goodness around the last week of September. Apparently Halloween has jumped on the eggnog wagon by having some dairy brands release pumpkin spice eggnog with Halloween decorated cartons. A few weeks after spooky ookie day we just Christmas eggnog. Love hot cocoa, but love me some eggnog a bit more as it’s only available a few months out of the year. Love the podcast, Tim , can’t wait to catch up to this episode as I’m listening chronologically, and am in April 2017! Off season holiday cheers bud!

  9. Jennifer Lundgren says:

I Think I like Yule Fools way more than “Waiters”……….fun listening even in June. Add a bit of cinnamon and you almost have glögg.
