My husband and I just came up with the idea of buying 12 christmas themed lottery tickets in December and scratching 2 every Rudolph Day to go along with your podcast. Now I just have to remember to buy them……

  2. Rick says:

    It’s pumpkin pie, no contest!

  3. Glen Warren says:

    Tim,
It’s actually pronounced “Frankenmooth”, rhymes with tooth. But it was great hearing you trying to pronounce it. Thanks again for a great show.

  4. Marcia Poppins says:

Your shows are so good (missed the boys)! I must have too much time on my hands, because I spent days contemplating Cranberry Sauce or Pumpkin Pie. I finally came to the conclusion that neither should win because those items are more closely associated with Thanksgiving, as are the bean thing and that mincemeat pie. In fact, the whole Christmas meal is kinda repeat of Thanksgiving. Maybe a Christmas menu all its own would be a nice idea: Fruit salad, Chicken Kiev or Orange Chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy (if you are a gravy person) Broccoli in cheese sauce or tons of raw veggies with ranch dressing, croissants, and sponge cake with lots of frosting (a little ice cream on the side). So good, I’d like it tonight. Hey, and the cake should have a candle on it for YOU KNOW WHO!!

In my family and later in my ex husband’s family, thanksgiving and Christmas were very similar. However, the sides on Christmas were a little less rigid. and instead of pumpkin pie, we had mincemeat. At Christmas we also had both ham and turkey where as Thanksgiving was turkey only.
